I currently teach seventh grade students at Shepherd Middle School in Ottawa, Illinois, math, pre-algebra, and language arts. I have been a member of Team 1 and the Math Department Committee since 2002 and am currently on the Leadership Team. I am committed to being an effective teacher and role model for my students. I believe students need to take ownership in their learning and I work hard to help them do that. Group and interpersonal skills are taught in conjunction with my lessons. I put an emphasis on students' abilities to live, interact, and communicate with each other.
